• Is this the first time that Business China is offering the Singapore Education Scholarship?
This year marks the inaugural offering of the Singapore Education Scholarship by Business China aimed at offering the opportunity for outstanding students from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to study in a Singapore school from Secondary 3 to Junior College Year 2.

• Why has Business China decided to launch this scholarship programme?
Since 2007, Business China has been organising programmes to achieve its aim of strengthening ties between Singapore and China. Business China has already been providing other scholarships and awards, including the Summer School Scholarship and YES - Tanoto Foundation Award. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide an additional opportunity for Singapore and PRC youths to interact and establish connections and help nurture more Singaporean bilingual and bicultural talents.

There is no registration fee.

The number of scholarships we give depends on the quality and number of applications we receive.

• Is this scholarship only open to students from selected provinces/cities?
The scholarship is open to students from the PRC with no restrictions on the province or city of origin. It is only for studies in Singapore from Secondary 3 to Junior College Year 2. Tests will be conducted in Singapore and candidates have to self-pay for the trip to Singapore to take the tests.
这项奖学金只供指定省市的学生报名吗？

• I am in Junior Middle 2. Am I eligible?
Students who are awarded the scholarship must have completed studies in Junior Middle School before arrival in Singapore. Students in Junior Middle 2 are not eligible.
我是初中二年级学生，我符合申请资格吗？

• I am currently studying in Singapore. Am I eligible to apply?
No. Students who are already studying in Singapore are not eligible for the scholarship.

• Can scholars choose to study any undergraduate course they want?
The scholarship is for students to study in Singapore schools at the secondary and pre-university level only. Following the completion of their studies, students are free to apply to any university to pursue their desired undergraduate course of studies.
奖学金得主可以选择修读任何本科课程吗？
此奖学金仅供学生于新加坡中学和高中学习。完成学业后，学生可以自由报读任何高校， 修读他们心仪的本科课程。
• Do the scholarship recipients have to serve any scholarship bond?
There is no scholarship bond.
